September 2010: Back To The Silent Movie Era

We've recently completed a great project for a Bacardi barman finalist in the Bacardi Legacy Competition 2010.
Matthew Daker's Angels Draft cocktail was chosen by the judges along with another 2 finalists. They are then given 10 months to market themselves and their unique cocktail. A very modern competition that focuses as much on the presentation and marketing within the process as the mixology and taste of the drink itself.
We watched Matt present his drink to the panel 6 months ago while we were filming the event, and instantly had an idea on how we could assist him with a short film.
Matt was then chosen and after an introduction and card exchange life went on...Matt then called us and asked if we were still interested?
Both BigPlus and Bacardi shared uncannily similar ideas on producing a Chaplin/Buster Keaton style silent movie.
Here is the film we shot for Matt on Super 8 with an old Cine camera. The film has been sped up for comic effect and also includes some other special guest appearances in the form of Victor Tablian who played the Monkey man in Indiana Jones and Nej Adamson who played Ali in Eastenders.
